What will you learn?

This 3 week immersive course will teach you basic structure and function of the shoulder, why shoulder mobility is important, how it ties in with posture and postural considerations for cognition, vision and chronic pain. Each week will have an educational component followed by a Q & A, handouts, and videos. Anyone can Google shoulder stretches but this course teaches you the “WHY” behind the “WORK'' and how you can fit it into your everyday life without feeling like you need to accomplish a Yoga Wheel Pose at the end.

FAQ

  • What type of equipment will I need?

    All you will need is a mat and some wall space. An exercise band and posture may be useful but not required.

  • What should I wear on my feet?

    Whatever is comfortable. Any exercise instruction will be low-impact and focused primarily on the upper body.

  • Do I have to use a desktop browser or can I use my phone to participate?

    All course content is designed to be accessible with your desktop or your mobile device.

  • I have a frozen shoulder. Can I participate?

    You will find the educational content covers a wide variety of useful information regarding shoulder mobility and posture. While you may not be able to do all of the physical components with your affected arm, you will be able to use your better arm and access the material at a later date in your final stages of rehabilitation.

Jenna has been working in the health and wellness field for 27 years and is dedicated to sourcing the root cause of her client’s pain and discomfort. Jenna has a passion for health and wellness along with learning and educating. Jenna has a Diploma in Fitness and Lifestyle Management, Diploma in Osteopathic Manipulative Practice, a degree in Psychology, and has several post graduate certifications including: Concussion Health, Cancer and Exercise Recovery, Certified Bowen Health Therapist, Master level Neurokinetic Therapist, Certified ANF Pain Therapist, and is a Certified Yoga Therapist. You can find Jenna working in private practice in Victoria, British Columbia.
